I enjoyed this so much! This was my first time making sugar cookies and royal icing, and I say it took me a long time to go through everything (instructions, videos), and if I wanted to sell the cookies I made this time, I would have to sell one for $20, but I feel more confident after my first lesson, and I will definitely do more. The amount of icing was way too much for my cookies but other than that, no issues. The lemon juice is perfect in the icing, I think it would be too sweet without it.
(Make sure you have a lot of time on your hands if you are doing it for the first time and want to have it “perfect”).

My daughter and I have been watching Grace’s videos for a while and I finally decided to purchase a class and make some cookies. The snowflakes class is so beginner friendly and a great starting place for someone new to royal icing. I already feel confident enough to try a more challenging class. I loved that the workbook tells you weights for each icing color. Grace was speaking my language there and you can tell she puts so much love and care into the workbook and class.
I loved this class. I’ve taken classes local to where I live but the cookies and the bagged icing were all provided. So I wanted to try making the icing myself. Grace’s recipes, instructions and all the videos were so thorough and easy to understand. My class was all wet on wet technique so I’ll be taking another one to try some other techniques.
