I love to bake, but have always been intimidated by working with royal icing. Grace's clear and thorough instructions calmed my fears and made it all so doable. My daughter and I took the class together and had a blast. Highly recommend.
I was a beginner when I did this class so my hand wasn't too steady. Still there were a variety of styles and I also mixed and matched and did a few of my own based on Grace's designs. As always, there is a full walk through anyone can follow and learn from. Grace's style is sweet and funny and it's like hanging out with a friend to decorate! I recommend this one after you've grown a little confidence.
I did this class early on in my quest to learn cookie decorating and didn't actually notice it was a more advanced class. My hand wasn't as steady as it is now so it was a little tricky to make perfect symmetry in the snowflakes. Still they got lots of ooos an ahhhhs from family and friends for their beautiful colors and textures. I might not do this one as a complete beginner but it won't be long until you have enough confidence to make beautiful snowflakes. I look forward to trying them again next winter.
I took this class as a beginner but there was plenty of variety and skills to master. Everyone loved the carrots and I added a bunny butt cookie to the set. These are a great start for any beginner! Grace always gives you so much detail and suggestions - you literally can't fail!
This set was actually fairly easy with a nice variety of new skills to learn. As an advanced beginner, I thought I might be able to figure out the cookies just by looking at them. So glad I didn't wing it, and actually bought the class - so much to learn! They came out very pretty and really wowed people, in spite of not being very hard. The color combo is great although I had a few lighter shades than Grace. Highly recommend!!
