I took this class as someone who bakes often but has no experience with decorating sugar cookies or royal icing. I read the entire workbook, watched the tutorials on how to make the dough, the icing and the thin/thick flooding (a few times to familiarize myself). Today was the day and I decided to both bake and decorate. I was going to follow the 3 day timeline but have other stuff happening this week and I've already waited about 2 weeks for all of my supplies to come in. I'm also too impatient to wait 24 hours for the icing to darken so I waited about 4 hours. My color didn't get as vibrant but they still looked good together.
The actual decorating tutorial video was very good and easy to understand. I also love all the details in the workbook and I love that I can continue to go back and practice while watching the video or using the images in the workbook. It's definitely SO much harder than it looks but this class makes decorating a little less daunting. I'm going to continue to practice this set before moving on to another class.
