Grace is such a great teacher and thorough in her explanations. She tells you what to do but also tells you why and gives you alternative suggestions and basically lets you into her brain as she’s walking you through each step along the way.
I watch her videos before I even bake a cookie, then by the time I’m ready to decorate, I play the parts of the video to help me remember what to do and pause it to decorate.
I’m starting to feel like I have the hang of cookie decorating so much faster learning from Grace! I just made my first set of cookies at the beginning of December, and now it’s the end of December and I’m already taking an advanced course! What?!
These cookies were still somewhat easy but gave me more of a challenge, and so I felt super successful even in my first attempt!
I love that we got 12 cookie designs that are simple and easy and can build on later as I get better at decorating cookies. I think they came out really well. It was easy to follow along and I had taken previous classes, so all I needed were the royal icing amounts for each color and consistency. Then I watched the video through before decorating and then was able to play briefly and pause to decorate.
Grace is always fun company to decorate cookies with! Highly recommend to help learn a new skill.
I love that the videos are prerecorded so I can fast forward through parts I don’t need and pause to decorate the cookies. I like to watch the classes and videos through before I ever even make the cookies so I know what to expect and then just play them briefly for a reminder once I have all the cookies and icing ready to decorate. I love how every class can be taken as a stand alone class so you know exactly how to bake the cookies, make the icing, and decorate even if you’ve never taken another class from her before.
These designs came out so super cute!! This was my second class I took from her after the Christmas one with Rudolph, Santa Belt, Gingerbread face, etc.
I’ve done 7 of these classes and have learned so much I’ve branched out into other cookie shapes using the techniques I’ve learned. I feel so proud of myself when I’m done and get so many compliments on my cookies.
