A general guideline for skill level:
- Beginner: never worked with royal icing before (even if you're an experienced baker) or a handful of times
- Advanced Beginner: has worked with royal icing for +/- 6 months and sometimes gets the icing consistency right
- Intermediate: has worked with royal icing for 1 year+ and often gets the icing consistency right

The pastel Halloween class was so fun! I really enjoyed all of the designs and using a circle cutter for all of them made it easy. It was my first time making the icing and I used the recipe she uses which tastes so good. I liked the guide on consistencies as that's where I'm still learning. There was so much jam packed in there I'm looking forward to my next class!
I liked how streamlined the tutorials are. There’s a lot more info at the beginning than in Strawberry Lemonade. You can skip parts you already know. I’d like Grace to add some what-not-to-do scenes. For example, what does it look like when you wait too long to apply the wet on wet icing or what does a finished cookie look like when you haven’t waited long enough for the bottom layer of icing to dry. It’s been a couple of weeks since I made these, and I’m finally starting to get my icing consistencies right. I may have gotten frustrated. 😬 I want to do more webs with spiders and floating ghosts.
I learned so many new techniques with this set! I was very proud to give these away to friends— such a fun set!!
