A general guideline for skill level:
- Beginner: never worked with royal icing before (even if you're an experienced baker) or a handful of times
- Advanced Beginner: has worked with royal icing for +/- 6 months and sometimes gets the icing consistency right
- Intermediate: has worked with royal icing for 1 year+ and often gets the icing consistency right
My classes are designed for success *no matter* how much experience you have with royal icing. Whether you've never touched it before or you've been working with royal icing for years, you are SURE to impress all of your friends and family with your edible creations thanks to my detailed instructions and warm approach!
All of my cookie decorating classes include the same cookie and icing prep regardless of the skill level. While others differentiate skill level partly based on how much prep is provided, I provide the same prep regardless and differentiate skill level based on the techniques covered in the set and amount of decorations/tools required.

A friend wants me to make these for a second birthday. I can’t wait to do them again. This was a first run. They were so much fun!!! I can’t wait to make them for her. As always, Grace does a great job with the workbook and teaching the class. I always enjoy her classes!!
This is my second class I’ve done. I had a friend join me who had never decorated/iced sugar cookies before. We had a lot of fun and ended up with delicious cookies to eat! The pictures of the cookies in Grace’s classes look so beautiful that you will think you absolutely can not do that yourself but you really can! The class is easy to follow and the cookies are a lot easier to do than you think they will be. She does a great job walking you through the steps. I am not an artistic person at all but I can follow steps and my cookies turned out adorable! I’m planning on doing Christmas cookies in December now. Thanks!!
I have wanted to try decorating but was apprehensive .I have a much better understanding of how to make and use the various thicknesses of royal frostings. The instructions were very detailed and easy to follow . The workbook was very detailed with step by instructions . i printed it out as that's easier for me. I will definitely do it again and again. I had so much fun and i want to just get better and better. Well worth the money .
My 14 yo daughter invited friends over to do this class. I helped her with prepping the cookies and icing the day before so everything was ready to go. The instruction manual was clearly laid out with lots of timeline options as well as economical supply options. The video was easy to follow and once they got the hang of it they felt confident enough to come up with their own designs. They had so much fun!
Grace is fabulous!! But I bought this class it didn't come through email initially, and when I reached out, I was so impressed by the excellent customer service. Now that I have the class the animals are great to learn all the techniques with and each one got better and cuter. I love Grace's royal icing recipe with the tang of the citrus juice, and I'm getting better at creating a consistency and cut the right size hole that allows for both outlining and flood. Fabulous class!
